Introduction
These proposals are the result of the contributions made by 30 participants* from 23 different countries around the world. As much as possible we have attempted to respect the texts received. In the few instances where very similar texts were submitted, we have integrated these texts to avoid repetition.
We have structured the 240 proposals in 8 forums to ease the process of appraisal and commenting. From participants' comments on the different proposals a more organized and synthesized version will be generated. It will then be submitted to a second round of dialogue, deliberation and consensus.
The following proposals on visions, values and objectives have a broad character, as should be the case in a first forum about the "world that we want". The proposals in the forums that follow – on the ecological, economic, political and communicative systems – will be focused on specific objectives and the means to carry them out, the strategies to be applied and the actions that will make them feasible.
* From almost one hundred participants in the process of collaborative elaboration of the Barcelona Consensus. Participants who have submitted proposals are from 49 different countries, 58% are men and 42% are women:
